Our "overnight success" with Heatle took several years and a lot of time and effort. Today we are the world's first company with this strong, versatile and efficient Technology.
We were founded after several years of research and development by two fathers from Berlin, David and Wachtang, with the aim of creating a future worth living for all of us, but especially for our children.
In 2020, our Heatle was the first startup in the 25-year history to win the renowned Berlin business plan competition all 3 main prizes of the year - including the Special Sustainability Award and the EMC Award from Siemens and InnoEnergy.
Heatle was also a finalist at the Berlin Innovation Award 2020 and was in 2020 and 2021 by Bosch supported in the Bosch Startup Harbor program.

For several years, the two ambitious founders put all their free time and energy into this project - at that time still under the lively code name "Moheato". One prototype followed the next.
All savings and everything that was earned full-time during the day flowed directly into development - in addition to money, of course, also the enormous professional experience of the two - David as an experienced engineer with 20+ years at BAE Systems, BCG or NBT AG, and Wachtang as a sales and product guru with 15+ years at Visa, Nedap or Mikhail Gorbachev.
The unmistakable Heatle design with the high-quality button made of oak wood is created by the German-Japanese designer Lana Kono.
The first successes at trade fairs began to happen, followed by lively media interest and a subsequent record-breaking presale (over 1,000 Heatles sold in the first minute). In 2021, the first professional investors came aboard and a real marathon to market maturity began, which was achieved in 2022 so that production could begin.
Today we employ over 15 passionate professionals at our modern production site in Berlin. And you can visit us anytime!
"As a tea drinker and father of two, I've studied the way we heat liquids, in every kitchen around the world - and I've discovered how many resources are wasted in the process. It's time for a sustainable alternative that saves electricity to meet the needs of our meets modern demographics and can replace multiple electronic devices."
David, Founder
"Technology is there to make our lives easier and more enjoyable. Most of the technology in our home is in the kitchen - this is also where we spend a lot of our time cooking, eating and socializing with family and friends. At the same time, this is the Place where the fewest technological innovations take place. The kettle, for example, has not evolved in principle for 1955 years."
Wachtang, Founder
